Discouraged and need somebody to tell me I can

Hello all. I have been trying to lose about 20-30 pounds. I started really exercising in January and I weighed 150 pounds when I started. I went to the doctor yesterday and the scale said that I weighed 160 pounds. I don't know why. Anybody have any clue on why and I guess I just needed somebody to say "Hey you. You can do it!!!!"

ETA: I forgot to say that I don't do much weight training since I don't have weights so I don't think it could be muscle.
