i origionally thought i needed to keep my calorie intake at 1500 calories per day and then burn 600 per day 6 days per week to maintain my lb a week goal....turns out i only burn 1000 - 1200 calories a day with regular activity so i either cut down to 1200 calories intake and possibly even have to burn another 200 calories per day on those lazy days or stay at my 1500 everyday (since 1200 seams IMPOSSIBLE) and find a way to burn 900-1100 calories per day!!!!!!!!! HOLY COW i'm already tired from the 45 minutes i do work out and i just don't know where i would fit in any more time....WHAT DO I DO????
I've always heard not to drop below 1200 calories per day....is this true?
i know it's not going to be easy it took me 6 years to put on this 75 lbs i anticipated it would take me 75 weeks to get it off AT LEAST....but it seams like all my work is just maintaining where i'm at and toning. i'm losing inches here and there....but the scale doesn't change. i lose my desire to work hard because i'm not seeing much results.
any help??
THANKS....

If yuor not losing at 1500 then I would def drop yout intake to 1200...yes its true 1200 is the minimum amount of calories you can safely eat...do no go below that. And YES it is POSSIBLE...I have been eating 1200 cals a day for over a year...so if you have any questions feel free to ask=)0

I would suggest going to the threads for new comers to the website. There is a lot of information there about how MFP calculates your calorie, calorie burn, eating calories, ect...
What ever MPF has you set at is your daily intake. They have me at 1490. If I exercise, I am given more calories to eat if I chose to. Most days I do, some I don't. Depends on how hungry I am.
Just remember that MFP already has you at a calorie defecete (sp) to be at a 1 or 2 lb a week loss. Exercise is on top of that.0 -
I try to keep my intake at 1200 calories a day, even though that is pretty low. I don't have alot of time to work out so I only burn about an extra 200-300 calories past normal activity burn. Once you get used to doing 1200 you will feel horrible if you go over, but really it's ok b/c it is a low number. I have managed to loose 25 pounds so far, working out 3 times a week and eating right!!!! GOOD LUCK0
