not feeling like i am reaching my goal

Options
Hi everyone! I have been on here the last two weekends and three days and have lost 10 pounds exercising and eating only 1300 calories. However, I am so frustrated with my progress as I feel I should be losing more. I know it will take forever to come off as it did going on but I am really shooting to lose 25 pounds by June 25 is this really possible or an unrealistic goal?

Unrealistic! I think you should shoot for 2 lbs. a week. yes you may do more one week but you cannot keep a pace beyond that. Sorry if you have a big day you are shooting for but I would reset your goal to 16 pounds and if lucky, workout hard maybe 20.

well done for starting your journey

as your diary is closed the advice offered is quite generic i'm afraid

10lb in ~17 days seems a little aggressive, the healthy recommendation is between 0 and 2lb per week
some of this may be what users call *water weight* and often when we make changes in our routines (calories/excercise) then initially there can be a sudden variation (up or down)

but generally, if your aim is sustainable long term weight loss at a healthy rate then ideally we want our calorie goals to be as high as possible yet just below our maintenance level

the following are a useful rule of thumb:
    More than 75 lbs: 2 lbs/week
    40-75 lbs: 1.5 lbs/week
    10-40 lbs: 1 lb/week
    Less than 10 lbs: 0.5 lb/week

from your ticker your target is 56lb to go - but it's not clear to me whether you have included your 10lb lost so far in this or not
but generally your target should be about 1 to 1.5lb per week

56 day to 25 june = 7 weeks, so I would suggest that it might be *reasonable* for you to plan on a further 7 to 12 lb loss

I would encourage you to read some of hte threads on setting your targets as 1300 seems quite low, especially if you are not eating back calories burn through excercise (it's not really clear to me from your post)
