If i still have weight to lose around my legs and butt, is it beneficial to also do squats? or should i focus on cardio until i reach my goal and then do squats to tone after?
Same goes for sit ups and push ups, should i be doing them now while i'm trying to lose weight or should i wait?
I'm not over weight, 65kg and my goal weight is 58kgs is that effects the answers

It is always beneficial to do squats (assuming you have no medical reason not to). What you will be doing is toning the muscles beneath the fat layers. Once you remove the fat layers over the toned muscle, your muscle definition will become evident. Squats will NOT cause you to lose weight faster or necessarily reduce the size of your glutes and legs; however, it will tone the muscle. If you simply cardio without doing strength training, you are removing the fat layer over a flabby muscle base and you will NOT see the definition that you would have with the strength training regimen.0

Okay that makes sense, thanks for taking the time to explain it. I just didn't want to be investing time into something and then i reach my goal weight and that strength training didn't actually effect my body if that makes sense. but If i am building muscle underneath then i will start today0 -
Strength training is key to really changing your body. Squats and Deadlifts tho they are listed as leg and back excercises respectively. They benefit your entire body. If you are doing them properly they will only aid in your goal and make you hell of a lot more efficient in strength.0

Hell yes, squat away!!! Do it so you don't end up with a backside as flat as an ironing board!0

start strength training, whether weight/bodyweight/resistance
start now
keep in mind that you can't spot reduce fat
just 'cos you do squats won't make you lose on your bum/thighs
where you lose and in what order depends on your body
but the more you do the better
good luck0
