I am new to Myfitnesspal. I just started working out and eating better and losing weight. I have a lot to lose, about 80 pounds. I am already experiencing some lose skin. I have been overweight now for about 12 years and will be 39 this year. So does anyone have any ideas that will help with the loose skin problem or is this just something that will have to be surgically removed? I am losing about 2 pounds a week at this point (I am going on week 4 now). Thanks for helping

Skin can take up to a year to retract. From my experience, people with 80+ pounds to lose will inevitably have some loose skin. You CAN'T exercise it to tighten it. If it hasn't retracted in a year, then surgery or acceptance are your options.

I haven't tried this myself, but the doctor I work with said that Vitamin E and Vitamin C help with skin elasticity. So maybe some vitamin supplements?0
