Sorry but your link says the fateful words. 'Mercola' . His grasp of science is fluid at the best of times

Really? You don't like Dr. Mercola. The article was interesting. The topic:

Ghrelin has been dubbed the "hunger hormone" because in previous studies people given the hormone became so ravenous, they ate markedly more than their usual food intake.

It's not a matter of liking or not liking him. "Dr." Mercola is a quack. Period.

Well, call me stupid, but some of his claims, I personally believe in - for example, Fluoride is bad for you.

Oh well, I will proceed with caution when reading his article from now on.

    Thanks. :drinker: ~Tamie

Quacks are very very good at fooling people. So don't think you're stupid if you fall for it sometimes. Proceed with caution and take a skeptical view of anything "Dr." Mercola says.

Personal beliefs are not relevant when assessing scientific claims. Science cares not for your (or my) personal beliefs. Yes, fluoride solutions can be bad for you... but water is also bad for you (in a large enough dose).
