Although this time, I am not looking to start an argument. I understand that muscle and fat alike have memory. With that being said, I had always been very active but I've let myself go the past few years until I started playing softball again. I started this journey eating better and just doing alot of cardio, and seemed to have dropped 25 over night. I started lifting and the scale stopped. This obviously discouraged me since I saw such great success at the beginning. I know the simple answer is, forget the scale, but that't a little hard. So here is that age old question, being that I am eating at a deficit is it possible that I'm gaining weight and that's why the "fat loss" has stopped?

How long ago did you start your lifting routine? I think it's more likely that you're seeing increased water retention because of the lifting, which can look like a stall on the scale. When you start a new routine or ramp up an old one your body floods the sore muscles with extra fluid to help cushion and repair them. It should be a temporary stall and the weight will start to decrease again in a few weeks.0

water retention
and are you tracking/weighing your food? are you TRULY in a calorie deficit or you sneaking food to compensate for the extra lifting?0 -
I started lifting about a month to a month and a half ago.0

And yes, I measure and weigh ALL of my meals. And stick to just that, I'm consistently under my calorie goals and often times never dip into the "exercise" calories, if I do, its usually to get 100 more for the day.0

^ This.
Also the rapid initial weight loss includes a lot of water weight.
The scale is an inaccurate fat measuring device, so just keep doing what you're doing.0 -

It doesn't look like you weigh everything based on your entries...not saying you don't weigh but your entries don't reflect it.
Your diary up to about April 23 you consistently logged very few calories days under 1200, under 1300 and under 1400...you log cleaning and cooking...it's good you don't eat back the majority of your exercise calories...with 1k burns most days...which include cleaning and 800 calorie burns from 45mins on elliptical...those are very inflated
Based on your diary you do usually 5-10mins strength training, lots of cardio and circut training...the circut training appears to be new exercise which yes new exercise will cause water/glycogen stores in the muscles it can take 4-6 weeks to go away.0 -
I was able to log such low numbers because I, at the time was not used to eating so many times a day, it made me a bit nauseous, once I got used to that i began to get hungrier which why the calories have increased but still considerably under my goal and as I said before I haven't eaten back an exercise calorie in forever because I know MFP over estimates. Do you think I should just go back down to 1200-1300 a day?0

no...definately not...
As long as you are accurate with your logging you could be eating more than you are now based on how much your ticker says you have left.
I personally was eating on average 1700 calories a day for the past 9months and lost 3/4lb a week..and I only had 30lbs to lose.
New exercise is the issue be patient and you will get a whoosh

Awesome thank you! I know that it takes time I was just surprised because at no point did it slow, it just stopped. And when I was tracking "less" calories this was before I bought the scale so even if I was under estimating, it couldn't have been by that much. I'll def check this link out, thank you!0
