First time Gymers and fitness advice :-)

Hi guys!,
I'm not new to MFP but I am returning, hopefully for the last time since my iphone has come back to me. I am however new to the gym so it would be great to friend some people who are either starting out at the gym also or are able to give some good advice on fitness because my weight loss goals are secondary to my fitness goals though I wouldn't be complaining if I could fit into a UK size 8/10. My name's Ayeshat, 23, Live near SE London

You can ask me any advice :) I have gone from nothing to weight lifting 5 days a week for the past 6 months!

    Hi Ayeshat.

I'm actually a qualified personal trainer.

    Quick word of advice

I would never listen to a personal trainer, or someone that claimed to have nutritional qualifications - that just so happened to sell a supplement or shake that they claimed was exactly what I needed.

Specifically Herbalife I'm guessing the above spammer's case.

No, please don't. These people are trained to take advantage of your enthusiasm to get fit, by claiming you can't do it without their "miracle" products. Do not buy anything from anyone, it is a complete waste of money. Check out my profile pictures. What you see was done with nothing more than a gym membership. You do not need to buy fancy/expensive products to get super fit and look and feel great.

edited to add: I was referring to the advertising person as "these people" not misseaves123. She's cool.
