Cannot Flatten the Abdomen

I have been losing weight for over 2 years now. I reached my target weight after about 9 months and have managed to maintain that since then.

I achieved this by a combination of a lot of very long walks and dieting - with no more fried food and a lot more care about what I eat.

All of this is fine, except for one thing. I cannot lose the extra weight from my abdomen.

I am almost 61 and have high blood pressure, so I feel workouts in a gym or that sort of thing would not be wise for me.

Is there any chance of getting a flatter abdomen just by more walking and dieting? I do not really need to lose any more weight really. It is just annoying that I still have that fat which will not go away. Not looking for a 6-pack - just to look a little better.

Is that likely to happen, or is it not possible without doing sit-ups or weight training. Maybe not possible anyway at my age?

You could try swimming or yoga. Both will be suitable for someone with blood pressure and are gentle on the joints. You can also do them alone if you prefer or join a group or class.
