I'm working on getting in Over 1200Cals a Day. I'd like to get At Least 1400 but Since I've started MFP I Rarely reach the 1200. I plan on switching to 5meals a Day but I don't know how to make them small. I normally eat meals full of Carbs/Starch with a little Protein/Meat but as I've been advised on this site I really need to get in Fruits/Veggies as well.
SO Here's the help I'm asking for. I need Ideas for meals betwen 280-300 Cals that Include All 4 Food Groups. I don't usually eat very much but when I get in an actual Meal it is Huge. I really don't know what a small Meal looks like. If anyone out there knows about this, eats smaller meals, or has any advice Please please Post it here.
Thank you for reading this Post and Thank you in advance for any help you're able to give.

Also, to make things easy... you can just have some oven baked chicken or fish (a portion is 3 oz, or about the size of a deck of cards), a veggie (preferably frozen or fresh, prepared by steaming) and a baked potato or some brown rice. Stir frys are also a nice option, and they're really easy. A starch is not necessary; they have a lot of calories. A lot of these recipes can be made up ahead of time and frozen, to be reheated later to make things easy.0 -
I'll just give you my current favorite and I eat it almost every day.
3/4 cup Kashi go-lean cereal
1 container, (5.3oz) Oikos vanilla, (or honey, buy usually vanilla) greek yogurt
1/2 cup berries
I usually eat this as my second meal of the day. I'll also eat it sometimes after I workout. It has everything in it and it's 261 calories depending on which berries. It makes a very big bowl of food and if you need more cals you can do a full cup of Kashi.
It doesn't actually have all four food groups, but it has lots of protein from the yogurt and the kashi.
Hope this helps!0 -

Hungry girl makes a cook book for just that. It's called 200 under 200. Basically you can mix and match a bunch of these to get 5 to 6 little meals a day,0
