Hello, I'm just debating if I should set my goal to lose 1 pound or 2 a week. I have a lot to lose so I don't know if that makes a difference. Does slow and steady win the race?

It depends on what's most sustainable for you.
To lose 2 pounds a week, you have to eat at a deficit of 1000 calories every day. For some people, that deficit is too aggressive and difficult to stick to long-term.
After the first couple of months, I've lost about a pound a week. It's taken a little longer, but I also never feel hungry or deprived, so it's a trade I'm willing to make.
