I can eat anything I want (and so can you)

Yesterday I get home from work and my husband asks if I want to go to Sterling Place Tavern (If you’re not from Buffalo, you likely don’t know that STP has a great beer selection and the most AMAZING greasy/high fat/high cal bar food).
I’m a liver of life so my answer, as usual, was “YES!”
To prevent over eating of delicious, high calorie food, I spoiled my appetite with an egg white omelet and an apple before we left.
Hubby ordered two dishes (a massive warm sandwich called a ‘yumbo’ with a side of potato salad and an order of chicken fingers).
I had ¼ of the sandwich (removed some of the meat because there were seriously like 3 inches of meat on this sammy), ½ of one chicken finger (no bleu cheese because they were SO FLAVORFUL that it wasn’t required) and a lite beer.
Hubby: “want dessert?”
Charmagne: “SURE!”
Hubby ordered chocolate mousse peanut butter cake of some sort. I had three smallish bites (savored every one…even closed my eyes).
The moral of the story: we can eat anywhere, any day and not be thrown off our game. LIVE LIFE! TASTE LIFE!

Charmagne,
I love this! It is so true & the beauty of this all is that we are all learning this on a journey together. I had pizza last night-stuffed crust pizza at that!!! And enjoyed every minute of it! I logged everything I put in my mouth yesterday & let it go! Thanks so much for sharing & reaffirming that it can be done.0 -
