If I could find my old message I would link to it. In the spring before I thought about changing how I ate, before I joined MFP I cleaned out my closet and donated a lot of pants because I never thought I would fit in them again. At my current rate I am sure I could fit in them by the end of the year. I guess that is always the way it is, get rid of something and you will find a need for it. Some of those clothes were 25 years old.
I did the same thing, donated all my old smaller clothes two years ago thinking I’d never be that size again since I haven’t been in twelve years, well here I am wishing I’d kept those old clothes, especially the beautiful dresses I used to have
I almost did the same thing ... I had two vintage leather jackets from back in the day when I was young and cool that I'd never gotten rid of because they were great finds. I'd donated several things that got to small over the years but these were 'curated pieces', for lack of a better way of expressing it. I mean that they were great finds and a bit special and hard to let go of even when I was fully convinced I'd never get back to that size. A few years ago I actually resolved to finally let go of them *knowing* it was over. Too many years had passed, my weight was too far gone to get back to, etc. I actually thought i DID get rid of them but apparently I never got around to it because I found them in a closet at my mom's house during a visit this past weekend and *BOOM* they (basically) fit again!!!!!! A touch tight around the hips but I'm basically there. It's been 22 or 23 years ...26 -

So then, I found a great skirt and an absolutely stunning blouse for the wedding. The skirt fit fine, but the blouse was way too tight in the bust and arms. I found another blouse that fit okay, and wore it and the skirt to the wedding.
The wedding was lovely, BTW, and I guess it's part of what inspired to me lose weight. I went through my closet a couple of days ago to get rid of the stuff that's too big, and that stunning blouse fits me now!
I'm planning to wear it to Thanksgiving at my mom's, if it's not already too big. And, if I'm very lucky, my sister will have left the faux-wrap dress at Mom's house - there's a good chance it'll look great on me by then!20 -
Finally got under 36 minutes on a 5k. GPS and timer: 5k at 35:53!!! A year ago I would have argued that I could never be runner.34

Yesterday in the market produce section a man seriously hit on me. He said he saw me and knew he would regret it if he didn't introduce himself. I was shocked and told him that I'm flattered, but married. Did I mention that he has to be at least 20 years younger than me?
Too bad that I'm no where ready to date, but it sure made my day better!thereshegoesagain wrote: »I'm 60 years old and recently left my husband and moved to another state.

Lol. That’s a great story! Thx for sharing that one.4

I think this is a NSV. The other day my friend (who I haven't seen for awhile commented on my new haircut. Now I've had the same cut for years...and then I looked in a mirror and realized that the cut looks better because my face has changed. Yes I'm old (69) and have wrinkles but at least my hair looks good!35

My "Lift and Sculpt" jeans no longer lift or sculpt but are starting to look a bit baggy27

Cooler weather here meant I had to break out my winter clothing stash. Was looking for a decent pair of jeans to wear and I ran across a pair of size 10's my MIL had given me because they were too long for her nearly a year ago. I was wearing size 16's when she gave them to me, and I realized this week I was able to put them on and they very nearly fit. Little muffin-topy but they're not half bad, so I'll take it!35

Nowt wrong being old and having a few wrinkles - you earned them and, as I tell myself, it sure beats the alternative.15 -
I’ve lost 30 pounds out of a goal of 70 in the last 2 months, which is fantastic.
Today at the gym my shorts fell down as I was going hard on the elliptical. Had them tied and everything. Just too darned big . Slightly embarrassing but absolutely awesome at the same time!35 -

This past weekend, two different people said they could see my weight loss, and that I looked a lot slimmer. Considering I cannot see it, it made me feel good to know it is actually there.24

After losing track while staying at my parents for two months (kinda what I expected), I am now back on track. Last weekend I was traveling with a friend and couldn't quite control what I ate - and again, I came back to counting afterwards. I also started a morning routine with an abs workout. Stopped for a few days for heslth reasons - and came back to it. This is totally new! Usually I would go of the rails and stay there. Something has changed and I'm super grateful.23

I'm giving daily weighing a break this week. Decided to look into my wardrobe and see if anything else fit differently this week. I thought I'd try on a pretty Chinese style dress which my husband bought me 10 years ago for a special night out and I've never worn since because I couldn't fit into it.
Was able to zip it up and I'm still in shock! Although it's snug fitting and I may be a bit differently shaped having had two more kids since then, if I remember correctly it was quite snug back then too and could be worn out like that as it's meant to be sexy. I'm so excited and glad I kept it. Can't wait to surprise him by putting it on one day soon especially as he's said several times over the years that I would never be able to fit into it again and there was no point keeping it. 💃🏾
Also tried on a cute work pencil skirt that I'd only worn once or so over 8 years ago and it now fits better than when I tried it a few weeks ago so I may rock that tomorrow.
It's been nice not to be frustrated by the scale every morning and these small clothes victories let me know something must be working right.21 -
Oh and went to McDonald's yesterday and didn't buy anything for myself. I actually posted this on my status yesterday because that's a first for me and like a miracle!
I usually buy something small for myself if I'm getting something there for the kids just for the sake of it and even if I'm not really hungry. I feel like I'm finally a real grown up 😂😂.. at 40!22 -
Someone took a full body pic of me and I could really see a difference for the first time! I’m the one in black.

This past Sunday I wore a pair of size 12 pants that have not fit me in several years. They were still a bit tight but man it felt good! I am going to make it my Sunday routine to try them on as motivation until they fit more comfortably.
But being able to get them on at all is huge for me!!33 -
Under my calories today even with my morning latte. And didn't eat my chocolate ice cream that I had "budgeted" for! Dessert has been a hard habit to break...30
