What's Your Most Recent NSV

I just started doing judo and was asked by the teacher if I had previous experience, because I had an unusually good instinct for it. He told me I was a natural. I've always been bad at sports, this is the first time anyone ever told me that! This was last weekend and I'm still so happy about it.25

My fav skinny jeans looked like mom jeans at church on Sunday.15

I just did a workout and my favourite part was the pushups! (because the other exercises have room for improvement lol)11

Ran my first Half Marathon (13.1 miles) of Sunday after stating running two years ago! Finished with a "Chip Time" of 1:32:45. Certainly not the fastest, but not last either!

My most recent nsv is I went to the doctor recently for my checkup & they drew my labs. I’m a type 2 diabetic. My A1C came in at 5.0! My last one taken in August was 6.2. They want it below 7.0. So after years of struggling to get my sugars under control they finally are. Big victory for me!30

Tiny NSV, but after just a week of cutting way back on snacks, I’m craving sugar and salt less already. Will probably have moments of cravings that will come and go, but that gnawing feeling like I have to constantly nibble on something, it’s gone. I just might stick with this!17

Sorry, that should have been 2:32:45. Yeah like I could ever do it in under 2 hours!17 -
Managed to pick up multiple new bras in the sale. All cute, colourful and (dare I say it) sexy. My new size comes with many more fun options.
Side planks is something that just happens in yoga. No hesitation no falling in a heap just a cool pivot, no big deal 💪❤️17 -
Can’t wait to join in on looking for smaller clothes.
I just took some “Before” photos to keep me on track toward my goals. Wearing a pair of jeans that I want to fit into, eventually. Follow up photo to be taken in six months.
NSV: lost a pound and a half, first week. Yay me, let’s go, healthier me.13 -
Did a t-bar row tonight at 95 lbs and for 5 reps at the end of my sets of this exercise. Felt good!12

My snow pants now definitely need the drawstring used to be comfortable, and today I pulled them on without unbuttoning them first.
These are the same snowpants I mentioned a few pages back, which were NSV in january when I was able to start wearing jeans underneath them again.14 -
semi scale related: I lost weight on vacation, while eating a lot of ballpark food.
pure NSV: my winter coat can now be pulled below my butt. A couple of months ago it was at the mid-butt range.17 -
My wedding and engagement rings fell off my finger as I went to grab a dropped object last night. I did find them though.22

I started my weight loss journey exactly 4 months ago today.
In that time I have lost 40 pounds but the NSV is I was wearing a snug size 44 jeans.
Today I bought new jeans and they are a comfortable size 38.
4 months, 40 pounds and 6 inches smaller waist.
I'm looking forward to the next 4 months and beyond.
A fellow sailor! Hi there. I was a DC2. Congratulations on your progress!9 -
I have mixed feelings about this one:
I don't have formal step goals for myself (bad knees, blah blah blah). Today, I had to get up extra early, beyond what my retired, night-owl self usually needs to manage.
I hit my Garmin's dynamic (experience-adjusted) step goal at 10:19AM this morning, an hour of the day by which I'm not necessarily even out of bed normally in Winter. Currently (10:06PM), I'm at 184% of it. Go figure!24 -
Finally remembered to update my measurements this morning. It's been 2 months and, even though I've only lost 3.5 lbs since the last time I measured, I was happy to see another inch gone from my waist, an inch from my hips, half an inch from my bust, and half an inch from each thigh.
Total inches lost to date:
Hips = 11
Waist = 8
Bust = 8
Thighs = 4 each
Upper Arms = 2 each
Just keep going.......22 -
I've been slowly cutting by dropping 1 pound a week for the past 4 months. I didn't realize how much my body has changed and look a bit more toned until this pic was taken of me in the gym today. It's such a cool feeling when you put in the work and start to see results.15

There is a great deal of consistent hard work evident in this photo. Great job!6 -
4 months ago got a scary diagnosis, not the least of which was that my A1C had gone from pre-diabetic to very very diabetic. New tests today, A1C is in normal range, all other tests improved (losing 35 lbs helped!). It's a good day.30
