Not sure if I should consider this a NSV but I struggled to get my heart rate even into the aerobic zone on a long session today.
But whether it is a NSV or not, I am happy to see my body no longer needing to work so hard to support the ever increasing activity levels.
I got this!

My co-worker was walking behind me after a meeting and said, oh my god you are disappearing! I responded, i'm not even at my goal weight yet21

I decreased my A1C levels from 6.1 to 5.7! I'm still considered "prediabetic" but not for long!
Woohoo!31 -
Finally got under 170, so I tried on a pair of 32 sized jeans and they fit! They are pretty damn snug, but I think I'll be able to wear them out comfortably in about 5 more pounds. Haven't been in 32 size jeans since sophomore year of high school, and the best part is I still have 20 more lbs to lose, so by the end of all this, I'll be smaller than I was in high school. That's great to think about, I always thought I was destined to look chubby at no matter what weight I was at. Turns out, I was just overweight in high school too.24

I did 4 full unassisted (nobody holding my feet) situps today! 2 weeks ago I couldn't do any.33

My seven year old niece picked me up. I was shocked. I’m 155.25

In July I was thrilled to get into size 14 jeans. As of today, I need a belt to hold them up!31

After dinner this evening, even though it was starting to get dark, the family and I walked up and down the street one time. By the time we did it once, it was too dark and dangerous for us to do it again. It’s almost half a mile when we do that. Well instead of saying oh well it’s too dark to walk, I circled the outer edge of our driveway until I reached a mile. All of this while pushing my toddler on her tricycle!! Feel pretty good about it!24

Bad day at work + getting out of work very late + dealing w/ crappy traffic driving home + hangry = want to go home, have a drink and say fuk it all. Ate dinner, logged calories, had enough left for some port so had some. Victory is that I did not succumb to emotion and overeat or drink excessively. Small NSV.40

This one is a blessing AND a curse. Recalibrated MFP for my new current weight and the calories dropped WAY down. Probably explains why I haven't lost in about 5 weeks. Started at 1,800 calories and I'm down to about 1,300.
I MISS FOOD!
Sigh, MFP STARTED me at 1200, and that was just to lose a projected 1.3 pounds per week! I guess I was in quite a sorry state. You'll get used to the new calorie amount with a few 'listening to your body'-related adjustments (in my case I set my fat macros high to keep me sated). But I did get a payoff in the form of being able to buy size medium tights yesterday!18 -

Wait, what!? A 14-inch neck is a Medium in men's sizes? I'm a woman with a 15-inch neck. Son of a *kitten*. So I'm a women's medium in the bottom half but a men's large on the top half? My shape must be so alluring right now. Anyway, onwards!14 -

Haha, ahhh I meant 14.5 but that's only in shirts. His new jumpers/t-shirts are medium size!
He's of slender build though...all his weight is in his tummy & previously in his face. I bought a ladies medium jumper from the same shop in a similar colour but mine is smaller than his (I carry a lot of weight in my bottom half) so I really wouldn't worry!!
Ooh, also when he was a 16", the collar was large round his neck but fit everywhere else (read tum tum!). His jumpers were always too long in the arms at Large too.

Weird one for me, I bought undershirts (! - yes, not worn those since I was a kid!) and instead of usually getting really loose and worn out quickly, this one fits snug and isn't moving around. Definitely related to my new size. I love it (and feel less freezing all the time!)15

I have not been logging my food for a few days. I did however go on here to keep being motivated. Today I am once again logging my food. The victory here is that I did not give up but only took a few days break and I'm now back on track.29

I now have 2 size 10 pairs of jeans.32

A hopeful NSV for me today. About six weeks ago I decided to go off foods high in added sugar (cakes, candy, ice cream, etc) except for special occasions (birthdays, anniversary, Christmas/Thanksgiving, if my husband gets a promotion), because of my diabetes. It's not worth the blood sugar spikes and nerve damage. Eventually I'll probably go off them entirely, but I'm not ready to do that yet.
Well, today I caved to the time of month cravings and bought peanut butter cups. They were both too rich and too sweet for me, and I didn't enjoy them as much as I used to. They weren't worth the calories or the blood sugar spike that I know is coming. I think I'll remember this next time the cravings hit, and be able to resist them much easier next time they "look too good to pass up".
This is HUGE for me, I had the biggest sweet tooth in the world. I would go to the store and buy huge bags of candy and eat them in one or two days. Even after becoming diabetic, I'd do that every couple months, but the bags were smaller.43 -
I forgot to clip my Fitbit Zip to my pocket before leaving to work yesterday. I walk at least 3 times during the work day. I clipped it on as soon as I got home and headed out for a walk. I got 7000 steps on that one walk. My goal is 10,000 for the day so I know I smashed it.30

Today I was in the middle of a run on my treadmill when I had to take a call from my drs. office. I hit pause on the machine to answer and realized I didn't have to catch my breath or gasp for air before saying hello. I was able to talk fairly comfortably! And this was a couple of miles into my run! I'm getting much fitter whether I always realize it or not.37

NSV this week is me choosing to pass on the chocolate cake for a 7 year olds birthday. I'm personally proud of that. I mean -- chocolate cake!!! GAH! Instead I had a chocolate protein smoothie.22

Being able to tuck my jeans into my wellies (er, gum boots in US) and they still fit.22

I've been demotivated recently, so I wanted to think of a NSV to get me back on track. Well, yesterday I was getting some ice cream out of the fridge and I realized that I didn't remember when I bought that ice cream because it takes a really long time for me to finish a carton. Previously it would have taken me 4 servings over the course of a week to finish it off, and now I'll have it a month at least, and I don't crave it like I used to.25

My mom came into town and dropped homemade cupcakes off at my work. (Bless her sweet self... To be fair, she didn't know I'm exercising restraint.) I brought one home for my son but left the rest at work and didn't touch one! And my mom makes the BEST cakes and cupcakes, for real.31

Just hit single digit sizes... from 16 to 8.50

I will be 52 next week. I have never been able to do a pushup (always blamed it on my long arms.) This morning in my Pilates class I did 3 sets of 15 pushups on an upside down bosu ball with 1 minute planks in between sets. I have never even attempted to do the normal push ups (always start on my knees) prior to today. The instructor was giving me some positive feedback when she saw me after watching me do them on my knees for the last 3 years. I give all the credit to the 115+ weight lifting sessions I have done since the first of April. Feeling awesome!38

I read through this thread on and off, loved following your stories, added some "awesomes" on the way and promised myself I could start posting when I am through all of it. Today I am. It might sound creepy, but even though I am probably new to you, I feel like I am finally able to join some friends on a fun trip. Sorry for being creepy... but this is such a great spirited thread with a lot of great spirited regulars.
@skymningen I too am a lurker. I've been lurking for just over a year and this thread (as one of many) has been a real motivator.
I can finally say I am in a UK size 14 after starting 15 months ago I am 65 pounds down from a size 22 (pushing 24). Cannot believe how far I've come and it seems a slow but at the same time a quick journey...
Thank you everyone for sharing your progress.29 -
This morning I walked into Kohls (a department store) in my mom's town. I asked the first salesperson I saw where the Women's section was. She gave me a strange look (because there are women's clothes everywhere) and said, "right here, and there, and around that wall and across the aisle" (I totally get why she looked at me like I was crazy asking!). So I realized I needed to clarify - I said, "I love that you think I'm looking for regular sizes but I need the plus size section." To which she responded, "I don't think so, but if you insist, it's way back over there." I'm most definitely still a 1x/18 but it was exciting for her to point me to the direction of the "regular" sizes. Bonus - I had a $12 off coupon AND a 30% off coupon.27

Been using the app and losing weight for 87 days
At the start I was wearing 4XL shirts (mostly coz I couldn't find 5XL very often) and they were at best 'snug'
Anyway, slipped a 2XL shirt on this morning and..
it's too big!44
