I've had a pair of pants that I haven't worn in forever because they kept cutting into my stomach so bad I'd feel sick. Yesterday, I'd run out of pants and decided to try them on. Not only did they fit, but they were loose enough that I could pull them down without unbuttoning them!
On my last run (W3, D3 of C25k) I discovered that running for a minute doesn't feel difficult anymore. That's a huge NSV for me considering that two months ago, I was struggling with 45 second runs.
I've been hit on by 6 people in the last 3 days. Not really a 'victory' (since I'm not interested in that kind of attention) but it's nice that people are starting to notice my efforts.

(I don't understand why sizing is so inconsistent for smaller clothes, when I was fat, a 44 was a 44...)
Congrats on the progress. And tell me about it with the sizing. I started at 42 waist and xxl shirts, and they all fit fine. Soooooo much variance in medium shirts and 32-34 pants. Frustrating.10 -
I have registered for my first race, an 8k, where the challenge is to complete it before a symphony finishes playing 50 minutes of music. If you had told me 14 months ago that I'd be doing this...I'd never have believed it.28

Last October when I had already lost 125 Lbs, I had to leave a ride at Six Flags (The Joker) because I could not get the lap belt attached. It was probably about 8-10 Inches from locking. Over the weekend, I went to Six Flags again and this time I beat my own personal demon by getting on The Joker and having about an inch to spare on the lap belt. That was the best feeling in the world. I still have about 73 Lbs to go but this is so much better.
Good for you! I've had a few tight squeezes in the past on roller coasters, and it felt really good that they buckled up easier last summer. Looking forward to seeing how loose they are this year14 -

What an intriguing concept! And an awesome race to participate in - well done!12 -
our lift was broken and we had to walk up 4 floors to our flat. it got fixed but i promised myself that i would continue using the stairs at least once per day. 3 times already today :-)16

I'm going to a wedding this evening, so I was trying on clothes. All of the ones I have are either too big, or too trampy considering there will be several of my students in attendance as well (my friend is a coworker/teacher). I have a 1-shoulder blouse that could work, but needs a strapless bra to go with. I bought one a month ago for prom, and it's now too big! The cups are fine, but I apparently need a 36 instead of the 38. It's both a good thing and a bad thing; that dude was $30!! So I guess my NSV is that all my clothes are too big? Lol23

Sooooo, tomorrow my son and I are getting some running shoes! We did the workout and both of us found it easier than Week 1's workouts, despite longer run times. We are loving it I really don't want a rest day tomorrow - I want to RUN! But I will be good and rest.
Also went for a bike ride, managed 20 miles before I had to be back in order to do the C25K workout with my boy. Cycled into the wind for a third of the way, a crosswind for a third of the way and a tailwind for a third of the way. It was hard going but I still shaved a couple of minutes of the usual time for that run. Maybe because of this:
Set the "watch your speed" flashing sign off again. Ooops
And on the way home, I spotted these (poor pic quality but only had the camera on my mobile with me)
So cute! Seven tiny, tiny goslings flanked by their proud parents. I think that this was their first trip out as they were stumbling about as if drunk and their parents trod on a couple but they just got up and meandered off in a drunken state again. The geese on the local pond are really very good parents, and when all of the goslings have hatched (several broods) they operate a creche and all of the goslings are grouped together. Better protected that way, I suppose.
The swans continue to incubate their eggs; we visit daily as we don't want to miss the cygnets. There are too many predators around, sadly
A good day!
Looking forward to tomorrow - my first pair of running shoes. I just need to do some research before hitting the shops17 -
I had to retire my light blue hoodie because it got way too big on me and I am going to have to retire my dark blue hoodie soon for the same reason.15

I can finally share one even though I've only had modest loss so far (16lbs):
My knees no longer hurt/complain when I squat to sit on the toilet (sorry, TMI) or a low rise chair! Hooray!23 -
Thanks . It is a cool idea.MissMaggieMuffin wrote: »I have registered for my first race, an 8k, where the challenge is to complete it before a symphony finishes playing 50 minutes of music. If you had told me 14 months ago that I'd be doing this...I'd never have believed it.

Okay, not really an NSV apart from my toddler asking to go for a walk (she walked three of the four miles we covered today) and the whole family going (including my grumpy teenager) but I had to share this photo from today:
There are eight eggs and Mama Swan was very happy to let us take photos from a distance. We have also discovered two more nesting pairs of swans at the local nature reserve. We went to find the goslings I saw yesterday but they were doing their own thing somewhere else today.

Its a gorgeous sunny day out today so I pulled out my shorts from last year and they're too big! So I went into my bin with the too small shorts I separated out last summer and tried them on, and they all fit! I now have 2 pairs of size 5, a pair of 7/8, and a pair of size 10. Such a weird range of sizing, but they all fit now yay!23

Rode a non side by side ATV for the first time this summer. You have to really lean out and contort your body to act as a counterweight when traversing some of the rougher inclined sections of trail. Felt much more nimble than last year. Great fun.26

After two herniated discs in my back I thought I would never be able to run pain free again the way I used to. For a few weeks back pain has stopped me after a certain distance on the treadmill and I have had to stop but today I doubled my old personal best before the pain was back. So happy! Looking forward to hopefully being back to my old distances in a not so far off future.34

Hi everyone, I haven't post here in a while. My recent NSV was three days ago. Last year I bought a fancy suit for a gala event that was canceled last minute. I stored the suit until last week where I was invited to a formal dinner. I went to my local tailor for a quick fix and he suggested me that I should buy a full smaller size eventually he tailored the original suit but I felt really encouraged to continue working out and cleaning my diet.
BTW all your stories are so inspiring!29
