Logging homemade food?

Hi all, I'm pretty new to the site, doing fairly well so far keeping within my daily calories and remembering to log everything I eat, but I had a query about homemade food; I was in the mood to make a wee batch of pancakes earlier, which I know aren't exactly a healthy food but I had used up very little of my sugar points for the day and could afford a small treat. However, I didn't make them because it occurred to me I had no idea how I would log a homemade foodstuff! The ingredients would've been gluten free flour, an egg, a pinch of salt and some sugar, but I didn't want to log the full amounts of those individual ingredients because I wouldn't be eating all of the finished product anyway. I could easily cut the sugar by half to make them a bit less indulgent, but I still wouldn't know how to log them, as the site's product list couldn't possibly have 'homemade whatever' and expect everyone's recipes to have the same calorie content. Is there some obvious resolution here that I'm missing or should I just not make homemade things?

Go to your recipes tab under foods and follow the directions. :) It's super easy I just created a recipe for a smoothie I'm making for my breakfast tomorrow and I made one up for meatloaf earlier.

And..if you get the recipe online ie: Allrecipes.com you can import the long list of ingredients. Super simple. I just discovered it myself.
