Really fighting it this weekend

The temptation is all around me and I am trying so hard not to lose my head. All everybody wants to do at my job is order food, talk about food, etc. I have a dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts staring me right in the face with everyone encouraging me to eat them. They keep saying "you lost so much already, just treat yourself". I won't, for the record, because I know once I start I just won't stop. Today I will probably go over my calorie budget some, but it will be modest.

What really worries me is tomorrow. We are having an employee appreciation party and the bosses are letting us order what ever we want from this Italian place. I was just going to stick with a personal pizza and a salad and only eat half of each. Still, in the nature of " treat yourself" I am so scared I will just crack and eat everything. I have done so well the passed week and I am so scared of blowing it.

I suppose I am just venting a bit. However, words of wisdom never hurt anyone.

Your diary looks pretty good. Looks like you're banking calories everyday almost. You seem to be in pretty good control. IMO, it won't kill you to splurge a lil, just keep it moderate. But only you can decide that. Don't let your co-workers temp you into eating something you may regret unless you're comfortable with it. Good luck

Thanks guys. I did a little math and found out that in a given week I am allowed 9940 calories. I have only eaten 9631 of those this week, so if I go over by 309 calories , I shouldn't beat myself up about it. I won't aspire to go that much over, but just knowing that makes me feel better.

I miss being fat sometimes, only because I never worried about crap like this.

You're doing great! Weekends are difficult for me too, especially parties. I do better if I avoid wine and go semi full (like have a snack- apple and PB) before hand. It's tough, but think about how grea you'll feel waking up Sunday morning knowing how well you did!

Eat the whole salad first then go for the pizza. That's what I do and I find I eat less pizza when I work with vegetables first.
