chicken pate

i love chicken pate but i know the shop baught stuff is full of stuff not good for me if anyone is interested in making pate be it chicken or salmon this is how i do it and my family love it.

chicken livers 250g
quark 1 tub
squeeze lemon
pinch of salt and pepper
tyme
garlic to taste

cook the chicken livers in a frying pan with a spray of frylight
leave to go cold then put in the food processor with the quark
using the same pan put in the garlic and herbs soften then add to the processor
with the rest of the ingredients
liquidise until smooth then put in dishes and chill

you can also use salmon to make a fish pate cook the salmon in the oven with lemon and tyme and do the same with the processor

    I googled. It said French soft cheese. I wonder if you could use laughing cow or ww cheese wedges *WW tastes so much better*

    quark is a soft cheese very low in fat it is worth trying to find it in the shop you can use it for both savory and sweet things

    i am doing the slimming world diet so these pates are free to eat

    You can get quark in somerfield! (If you are in the UK!) I looked everywhere! Save your self some mileage and head to somerfield! :)

    most supermarkets sell it well worth it
  • I doubt I can find it here in Mexico...I'll google it and see if I can make it from scratch...or maybe use my cream cheese as a substitution.

    it is a cream cheese but a low fat one which is why it is free to eat on slimming world.
