Gift for boyfriend's mom
Ok, so my boyfriend's mom is amazing. She's always doing so much for us and she's the sweetest lady you'll ever meet. I wanted to make her a little thank you gift or do something. I thought about making cookies and sending them her way with a thank you note/card...but I'd like to hear your opinions. Any ideas?

I think cookies are really nice because you put the effort in to make them.
Another idea: If you know of a place, you could also get her a gift certificate an inexpensive massage or a mani/pedi, with a note that says something like "You are always taking care of everyone else, now it's your turn to be pampered!"0 -
I really like Sunny's idea - maybe an Indian Head Massage - that shouldn't be too expensive. Cookies are a lovely idea or making her a photo frame?0

I don't know if you have a green thumb, but succulents are really 'in' right now. They're so cheap (between $1.50-$3.50) per little plant. I buy a terracotta pot (approx $3-5) and a few pretty little succulents and plant them. It's cheap, and beautiful, and you'd be surprised how far they've come from just prickly cactus looking ones. That's been my go to hostess gift anytime we go to someones house for dinner or to watch a game. Plus they're almost impossible to kill! You only have to water them every two weeks0

Cookies are a nice thought - but I go back to how I got overweigh. We reward ourselves with food all the time. I walked 15 minutes, shoot, I can have a DQ Blizzard, or a cheeseburger, candy bar etc., I say, let's try and break the food cycle. I like the ideas of a gift certificate, or making a photo frame. What about writing her a letter and telling her how you feel about her and thanking her for all she's done. (Another lost art since we have cell phones and can text, or email. Find nice stationery and let the pen do the talking!) What about taking her out to a movie or to a museum - spending some one on one time with her.
Just a thought! I hope I didn't upset you - I just think society has a love affair with food. Everthing revolves around going out to eat, stopping by for a drink and pizza, having friends over to play cards and having snacks.0 -
Thank you so much guys! These are all great ideas!0
