I just got the alert on my MFP phone app that I could turn on the pedometer feature. It seems like a good idea but I was wondering if anyone knows how much of a battery drain it would be?

I'm considering removing the app. I feel it does drain battery too much. I had to charge phone 3 times yday.and I couldn't wait long enough for full charge. Normally it's every 1.5 to two days. Then I put it on charge and miss steps. Plus it count steps driving so I pause it but then forget to start again. Too fiddly. And I don't want to carry phone all the time either.
When I do sit down I put it on charge but I find I have to think about it too much. There may be something I can switch off so I'm interested in other answers too.
I do appreciate though that it's available. I'm a former fitbit user so I'm making comparison to that so it's probably a bit unfair. It has made me consider going back to a fitbit for motivation as it definitely fired that up.0
