Home-made almond butter is my biggest weakness ever. I ended up eating 1000 calories this morning thanks to it. And it's not even close to noon. Should I fast for the rest of the day, hit the gym for 2 hours or eat normal sized meals for lunch and dinner? I feel super guilty. The last time I binged during breakfast was a month ago and I was hoping I wasn't going to do it again, but I was dumb this morning. How do I get rid of this guilt?

    Oh...I don't know...walk away from it...let it go...

In the grand scheme of this journey that you are taking it is only one day...one meal...one huge serving of almond butter.

The way that I see it...there will be a few pot holes along the way...it is not so much the pot hole itself that is the problem. The problem comes when you decide to stay in it...hang there for a while...maybe decide to take up residence in that pot hole.

Here are your choices...remain in the pot hole...or climb your way out.

Just remember...if you decide to move forward...there will always be pot holes...you deal with each one of them as they come along.

Don't feel guilty! It is just food, it's okay.

I would not suggest fasting, that's terrible. I think you should hit the gym hard and earn dome calories back. Then eat veggies and lean meats the rest of the day. Try to stay around your calorie goal for the day, but aim for less than maintenance.

You're okay, it is just a day. Start again tomorrow :)

There will ALWAYS be "off" days. But it is up to YOU to decide how they will affect you. Try pre-logging the day so you know how much almond (apple?) butter you can splurge on in the morning.

For the rest of the day, you can lean towards low calorie foods like vegetables. or do a simple chicken stir-fry - which can be filling and reasonably low-calorie.

You can also exercise a bit, but exercise isn't going to alleviate guilt. You will need to address that emotion first, imo.
