i started doing this one machine where it takes me more than double the time to finish my calories...and i just noticed it's kcal
is kcal double regular cal.
it doesn't make sense because if anything, this sec one is harder....
bonus topic:
i also find it odd that i burn the most calories on an eliptical, i mean it even says i burn more than on a treadmil and that just doesn't add up to me ... i mean treadmill is way harder ....what gives....
sincerely annoyed

Ellipticals are notorious for overestimating the burn rate. Ignore them. Whichever exercise gets you to a higher average heart rate or exertion level probably burns the most calories.
Kcal is a fancy way of saying calories0 -
Technically, a kcal is 1000 calories (with a lower case c) but kcal is sometimes referred to as a Calorie (uppercase C). The energy in food (in the USA) and burned on your exercise machine are given in Calories , which is the same as a kcal. If your machine was giving you calories it would be 1000 times what you would expect, not twice0
