What my trainer has asked me to eat

I'm honestly trying to do my best here, it find all you lot arguing quite a compliment!
It would actually help if he had sent me over my full nutrition plan...he promised it would be by today...not impressed I feel like I'm eating blind! Learning as I go I suppose!0 -
I eat whole eggs all the time, usually 3 per serving. However 3 eggs AND a bowl of oats sounds a little heavy, but I don't like heavy breakfasts.0

Does your trainer have a degree in nutrition? Sounds like he's having you eat the weight lifter's diet of:
- oatmeal
-sweet potato
- lean protein
-eggs
I don't think an eating plan as limited as that is sustainable for a long period of time. But he may be correct in what he's advising in terms of macro nutrients/calories. It's hard to tell.
I don't know where you got that assumption from... One meal does not equal a limited meal plan. I have oatmeal for breakfast probably 95% of the time. The rest of the time I have eggs (whole eggs) The rest of my meals are varied and not really that close to the typical lifters diet you speak of. I don't have eggs in general that much (when I do, they're always whole, 3-4 at a time), and my protein comes from several sources, often not very lean (I like pork) I also don't have potatoes of any kind very much. See how inaccurate an assumption can be?
To the OP, there is absolutely nothing wrong with whole eggs. The short of it is, you need to eat more. Your trainer is helping you with that, alongside getting into lifting. You need to trust him and at least try it out because tbh your previous diet wasn't exactly good for you (sub 1000 calories)
It is very much a learning as you go experience I think, it doesn't all come at once. That's ok, and normal. Take it each day, and have some patience.
PS: Soft boiled eggs with toast "soldiers" dipped in the yolk is one of the best things ever IMO! If you haven't tried it, and you want to get into eating whole eggs, have this!0 -
The only reason I do egg whites is medically related...to limit my cholesterol intake as I have high-ish cholesterol.
me too. Sucks. Lol0 -
