Healthier Dad

Hi all.

Just found this app and decided to try it to help me keep an eye on what I eat and hopefully lose a few pounds. My biggest motivation is a pair of adorable little ones who deserve to have a healthy dad. My goal isn't about my weight, it is about LDL/HDL balance, triglycerides, etc. and keeping them on the chart.

I'm hoping that i can keep up with the entries and was pleasantly surprised to be able to easily add the things I ate today (although I put them on the wrong day... easily swapped using the "Copy from yesterday" tool.) As a start, I can tell that I'm not doing a good job of tracking what I eat when the calorie counter is only about 2/3 of my daily goal. NO WAY! lol I know I ate more than that, so it's time to keep a better eye on it!

  • Welcome to MyFitnessPal! I know you will find this site very helpful and motivating. I think its great that you look to your kids for inspiration to be healthier - I do the same!     I'm off to a great start (in a making the best of a bad thing way!) Home with a sick kid, so I already know I won't be going out and eating junk!
