Quadriceps Pain

Alright, so Saturday morning I was developing a new dance routine that involves dropping quickly down into a squat. My quads were stiff and achy by the afternoon, hurt all yesterday, and still hurt today! Going down stairs is a special kind of torture. Does anyone have any tips on quick recovery, or should I just ice, heat, stretch and suck it up?
