Eating out?

We eat out a lot, and we're heading to a place for breakfast that we used to go to all the time. I was planning on getting pancakes, and I was wondering what the calories could be in that, as a rough estimate? You can choose from chocolate chip, cranberry, blueberry, and apples with cinnamon. It's a family restaurant in town, so unfortunately no nutritional facts posted anywhere :P

I would say around 400 calories for three pancakes and syrup and butter.0

WHen I go to local places I usually find something similiar from a big chain restaurant that is similiar and check their cal counts.
Pancaks can be tricky....size, what you put in them, and the butter and syrup. Most of the serving sizes are very small for syrups and such so pay close attention to how much a serving is!0 -

That said.... I wanted this thread to be about something else.0 -
You can look at Ihop's website for ideas. I looked at it yesterday morning. I do believe that the 3 buttermilk pancake was the lowest caloric item on the menu (except for their fit & trim items). Oh and that is without syrup:( You could ask for sugar free syrup:)0

We all did.
OP, remember that 1/4 cups of syrup has 204 calories and 1 tbsp of butter has 100. This might make your guesstimate more accurate if you go in with quantity amounts in mind.0 -
Usually, from what I remember, one order gives 2 pancakes? Not sure on size though. Also syrup and butter is on the side, so I have control over that. I was thinking of logging 3 buttermilk IHOP pancakes to make up for any inaccuracies on the 2 I would be receiving? And then logging in whatever syrup I use (I don't often use butter. Don't see the need for it?)0
