iPhone 5s and M7 working with myfitnesspal

hello all!
im an iphone 5s user and i ave just activated the section that counts steps through the coprocessor of the iPhone 5s
does anyone have this device?do you think this is accurate?
i usually use the nike runnning app for my gym session s which i love but this isn't working together with myfitnesspal and i have to enter all data
i just did a walk with myfitnesspal and the iPhone 5s and the steps were counted towards the general tracking session of myfitnesspal app
just wondering how accurate this is especially when the phone is in our pockets
for example i did 11000 steps and said 150 calories
as i said i usually have an iPod and using nike running app and count my progress through there
