Fitness Device...help!

Looking for a good fitness device for myself! It must have calories burned, and I'd like it to have a HRM. I have an "older" smartphone so I do not think the Up or Fitbit will work with it.
What works for you? What do you have?

The Garmin Vivofit and Polar Loop are all-day activity monitors that are also heart-rate monitor compatible. This is the modern direction for activity monitors, vs. the previous generation's Fitbit and Up.
I use a Garmin Forerunner. It's not an all-day monitor--it's for tracking workouts. When I'm done, it prints a map of where I went, the distance, elevation gain, heart rate, pace, and calorie expenditure. The GPS enables it to be more accurate than pedometers when it comes to distance, speed, elevation, or pace. Its heart rate monitor makes it better at measuring calories burned. There's also the option to tie-in VO2 testing results if you want wickedly accurate calories burned numbers.0
