I'm newly diagnosed and interested in other people's experiences.

1) Can you eat dairy if you take an enzyme supplement or are you just better off not eating dairy? I love dairy, but it's been making me quite sick so I'm willing to give it up if an enzyme supplment isn't a complete solution.

2) Do you tolerate some foods better than others? Which ones?

Any input is much appreciated!

    1. I can eat moderate amounts of dairy with no supplement and can eat more if I take a supplement. I try to eliminate nonessential dairy and "save" it for things I really want. If I were going to a pizza and ice cream party, I d'd definitely be taking supplements. You have to find the levels your body can handle by trial and error. For me the results are embarrassing and unpleasant, but I don't get really sick. If I did, I'd probably err on the side of cutting it out.

    2. Cultured dairy products tend to be best for me. Yogurt and cottage cheese are the ones I most easily tolerate. Some other cheeses too. Sadly, I tend to have the most issues with my favorites- milk, ice cream and mozzarella cheese.
