Question for runners with HRM

Although I've been exercising regularly for a while I was not running a lot.
Now I decided to include jogging in my routine.
Today I was on treadmill for about 45 minutes with warm up and cool down.
I did an interval training:
4min slow
4min faster
4min slow
4min slow but uphill (3%) and the whole thing twice.
I've got a question about heart rate.
While I was running faster or uphill my heart rate was as high as 160-170 and on easier parts it was going down to about 145-150. My HRM (polar f6) says average was 140 as far as I remember, 40% calories from fat.
I had an impression that I was going reeeeally slow - 4.6 mph in slower and uphill parts and 5.6mph in faster parts.

What do you think about this numbers?
Should I aim at a specific heart rate in intervals and in slower parts?
Or should I just stick to that speed and my hr will fall down as I'm getting fitter?
What do you think about reaching 170bm (I'm 24 y.o)?

    When I jog outside (I wish I had a treadmill), my average heartrate is 150. I'm 36.
When I do sprints it goes as high as 175 but goes back down quickly.
I always go based on how I feel. There are some days I feel tired and dont' push myself very hard and other days, I go crazy!

I think you are doing great! Keep it up! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

It sounds to me like you're doing fine, but I don't know much about heart rates. I also run on a treadmill, but don't pay attention to my heart rate b/c I don't have a HRM.

I'd think your heart rate would fall as you get fitter. Perhaps some internet research would help?
