Hello MFP Ladies and Gents. As you know May is the month in which Mothers are celebrated and what better motivation than motherly advice. Can you think of a time you were going through and your mother's word of wisdom resonated in your head, or maybe of a time you were stuck in a rut and your mother was there to bail you out. We've all been through ups and downs with this journey to change for the better and undoubtedly will experience more, so what motherly words of motivation can you share with MFP.

Here's Mine(and I use this often with my children whenever they come up with an excuse to give up on something)

"It's Time We Stop Making Excuses For Not Doing What Needs To Be Done, But Rather Doing What Needs To Be Done Because There Is No Excuse Not To"

Let's Hear Those Words Of Wisdom MFP and Happy Early Mother's Day To All The MFP Mom's.

What I would like to say for my mom is that she is unfailingly supportive of me even when she does not understand me (or vice versa). We are very different people.

That said, we do share a lot of similar qualities and I'm proud to be told that I am like her in many ways such as perfectionism, high energy, and enthusiasm for even the smallest things in life.

Also...she has always been my biggest fan. She will argue with me even now that I did NOT look bad or that heavy when I weighed 307 (my heaviest, 120+ lb ago). Please don't get me wrong, she understands the dangers of morbid obesity and all of that and she's very supportive & happy with my loss. But she has always been there to build me up in ways she doesn't even realize. I am glad that sometimes I am able to return that favor for her. She's a great mom!

ETA: I did not provide a quote or advice per se. My mom's just not really the sage wise type of mom. She's more hyper than calm and I've more often given HER advice starting when I was very young like 9 or 10. But she is a wonderful force in my life and others' just the same. She also really has a knack for finding others' potential.
