Is i possible, sure. It's just a hair more then 1lb a week. Will it be easy? Hell no! It will take plenty of dedication, and consistency. The weight should come off easily at first but a few months in things will slow down and become more difficult. You need to develop long term strategies for success. Total lifestyle modification is what you'll need. I would suggest calorie counting with MFP, diligent tracking and weighing of all the food you eat along with regular exercise. You will need to be able to do those things day in an day out. Honestly, the mechanics of losing massive amounts of weight are quite simple: Track calories, exercise regularly, and reduce calories or increase exercise when weight stalls. It's putting those mechanics into practice and not getting burned out or losing site of the goal that is the difficult part. That's what this community is here for. To give you support on your way to achieving your goal.0

As the first poster said, it is entirely possible and actually a realistic goal. As you get closer to your goal weight, you might notice that you don't lose as much (nor should you) and this is normal. However, I always think of a goal weight as guidance rather than an ultimate goal. You might be happy when you're just above your goal weight or you might not be happy until you're below it.
Moral of the story: don't pressure yourself to lose this exact amount of weight in this time, but shoot for it and try to get close. Log every day, try to be active and read these links for more guidance

Over that period of time? Yeah, totally possible. You will have to be fully committed to your diet for 16 months to accomplish that which can be difficult, many people diet in stops and starts. But if you hang on yeah that is an achievable goal.0 -

Yes. I have done it. But it takes 100% dedication, even when things get tough. It's just over 1lb. per week. You can do it, but stay focused, concentrate on 5lb. at a time, and remember why you're doing it.
Feel free to FR me. I'd be happy to support you.0
