I have very weak legs. I have a bad knee and will have knee replacement surgery soon. I have a bad torn menescus(sp) and now Doctors says my knee is bone on bone. Squats make the knee hurt too much. Any ideas to strenghten my legs?

Can you use power plate? (some gyms have them)
If yes, it is great.0 -

Pool would definitely be my suggestion! If you have good insurance and live in a decently populated area, most doctors can even refer you to one for physically therapy especially since you might be having surgery anyhow. If you don't want to go that route I'd suggest a gym with a pool or a rich friend with a pool
However, I've had knee issues in the past and I ended up looking up exercises for floor work at home for strengthening. That way I could just do it at my own pace and not go too far. There are a lot of exercises you can do on a mat that can strengthen your legs they don't have to involve your knees!
