I think it's pretty clear that many women desire sexual attention and sex as much as men in general (or in fact more I would say.)

However, female sexuality has been kept in check by numerous methods including social disapproval or fear of sexual violence over hundreds of years.

Just as the contraception pill proved to be one of the greatest instruments of social change so the anonymity of the internet has allowed a whole host of women to express themselves fully in a relatively "safe" environment. So, the fact so many women seem to be pervy on the web isn't surprising really.
