I have been reading the posts regarding TDEE and thought I would give it a go.
BUT how on earth do ppl survive on so little carbs?
There are even carbs in veggies such as raw carrots!
I am allowed 99g carbs per day...is this doable?
Help plz

TDEE has nothing to do with carbs. You can still adjust your macros.0

I live quite nicely on 20g of carbs a day, so I suspect 99g is doable.
Yes, raw carrots have quite a few carbs and it does take a radical shift in thinking to get to low carb eating. You need to look for proteins instead of fruits and vegetables. Chicken and fish, eggs and lean beef - those have to become your go-tos when you're hungry. Also, it's not about quantity when you eat low carb, it's about quality. Most people find that they full longer when they eat an egg with some cheese sprinkled on it than when they eat a mountain of vegetables. Sweet treats are no longer an apple or some grapes, instead try some peanut butter or cream cheese with a little sweetner on top or even a dollop or two of frozen whipped cream sweetened with splenda.
You can do it and if you do a search for "low carb menus" or atkins or any one of the low carb options, you'll get a lot of good ideas. There are several forums here that can give you good advice and help as well.0 -
you don't need to go on ridiculously low carbs, get your protein and fat minimums, fill remaining calories with carbs, if you do this and pick a sensible deficit you will not be on stupidly low carbs0

This.
Where did you get your numbers?0 -
I am bumping this for the ideas people give on low carb... I am not as low as you, but because I have PCOS, I have to be low carb... Thanks for asking the question!0

I put all my details (height, weight, age etc) into the TDEE calculator and that was the amount of carbs that was given.0

I keep my carbs below 100 g/day and it's pretty easy. It means that I eat mostly meat and veggies, occasional fruit and sweets. I avoid grains for health reasons.
I wish I could eat grains and carbs more freely, but I feel so much better without them, that it's an easy choice to make once knowing how grain-free, low carb feels for me.0 -

I used their suggestions (15%).0 -
Their suggestion for protein is a little high IMO. I would suggest 1g per lb of lbm giving you more carbs.
But regardless, you don't have to stick to those macros.
Edit try the lean mass formula.0
