Just wanted to say hi! Im Cindy, 46...beginning this journey at 212 (5'5 on a good day lol) . My daughter recommended this site and Im happy she did!!!! I am from northern Michigan originally but I am currently living in Indiana. Have began my exercise by simply walking the dog and oddly enough Im wearing them out instead of them wearing me out. I would have to say my weakest points are drinking enough water and exercise. I am also learning that skipping meals is apparently not good either. :( So , Im pushing myself to drink more...exercise more and count the calories. A friend of mine mentioned the 21 Day Fix? Has anyone tried this and if so what do you think of it? Im not looking for a quick fix...lord knows Ive tried all that and if it worked I wouldnt be where Im at today. Anyhow , I appreciate any tips or motivation. My daughter lives 13 hours away (military ) and she is trying to cheer me on but we all know how it is when you are on your own without the support . So...back to torturing the dogs...lol Have a great day everyone! :)

Hey Cindi! Welcome to MFP. I love this place. I have never tried the quick fix, but if it helps you jump start your fitness, go for it. :) As long as you realize this is a way of life - this eating right and portion control. I still eat crappy foods sometimes (had pizza and cheese sticks for dinner last night), but I eat less of them. I could never live my lfe without chocolate/pizza/beer, so I make it fit into my meal plan NOW while I'm getting healthy. That way, once I've reached my goals I can still have them without worry about putting weight back on. :) Good luck!
