Creatine?

Just ordered some acetyl-l-Creatine off Amazon. I've heard interesting things about Creatine. Even my Biochem professor was a big believer. Supposed to help weight loss and diabetes. Anybody take this and have you seen results?
From what I read, it takes about six months to see a difference and pretty high doses, along with fish oil capsules and a meal.

    Read it

I've never known creatine to aid in weight loss and I've been on it daily for 3 years. And if it's not made with "Creapure", it's garbage.

Same. Creatine monohydrate. Gets stored in the muscles and helps repair / build them. Never heard anything about weight loss associated with it ever.

Sure you don't mean acetyl-L-carnitine (ALCAR) a nootropic?

Lots of reasons that I think this won't hurt and possibly might help me. But, if it only decreases neuropathic pain I'd be happy.

"It has been suggested ALCAR may have potential as a drug for treating peripheral neuropathic pain."

^ This. There's no such thing as acetyl-L-creatine. There's acetyl-L-carnitine, and there's creatine. Which are you referring to?

I think the science is still out on ALCAR, but there are some promising signs. Hope it works for you.

As for creatine, it works very well! I stick to creatine monohydrate and do about 5g a day.

Sorry. I meant carnitine, not Creatine. I think my IPAD might have auto corrected.
