remaining calories

so im new here and i just made an account. im confused about the remaining calorie thing? it says my goal is 1380, and i burnt 900, but it also says i have 1345 remaining. how does that work?

When you work out, it subtracts calories from your overall "net" calories. It's like creating a deficit. I try not to pay too much attention to it because I've set my calories for exactly how much I want to consume each day regardless of whether or not I exercise that day. Cheers!0

When MFP sets your calorie goal it does not take your exercise into account. Basically, the site doesn't trust you to exercise until you log it and then it adds more calories to your goal to keep you at a healthy, safe deficit for weight loss.
Yes, you are meant to eat back the calories you earn through exercise. However, if you're using MFP's estimates or gym machines then you should be aware that they overestimate some activities. You may only want to eat 50-75% of those earned exercise calories.
