Breakfast

I went back thru the last week looking at my food diary. I noticed that the majority of the time my breakfast is higher in calories than any other meal during the day. Not always, but most days. I'm thinking it's better this way, but the question was asked that maybe you biggest meal should be around lunch time. Any opinions out there?

It's personal preference. When you eat or how much per meal (assuming your daily/weekly calorie total is in a deficit) has no relevance to weight loss. It does however have an impact on your satiety and performance but that's a very individual thing. Do what works best for you.

I think it really depends on the person. Personally I try to keep breakfast low cal. I find when I do eat a big high cal breakfast, I actually feel more hungry before lunch even hits. I'm not quite sure why this happens but I've been just having a yogurt and protein shake pretty much every morning now and I can actually make it to lunch without my stomach growling :)

+1 - totally agree with every word above.

I am a breakfast eater, always have been...but I find that I am completely satisfied by around 200 calories in the morning. I do choose wisely, a mix of protein and carbs and so on. But I am no more satisfied by a 450 calorie breakfast than my typical ~200 cals in the morning. I go back and forth with lunch and dinner being my largest meal. They are usually somewhat similar in calories unless it's a day when I'm going out for dinner (or lunch) and strategically have a mini-meal in preparation for that.

    All personal preference.

Just like how I like to eat the majority of my calories in late evening (5pm and on)

Do what works for you. There is no one fit all solution to everything in fitness.
