Guests keep their shoes on. My husband and I walk through the house in our "street" shoes but leave them in the closet and around the house it's barefoot spring-summer and socks or slippers fall-winter.0

No shoes unless I'm making more than one trip from the car bringing in groceries. It just feels better to me, I'm home, it's comfy. Wearing shoes makes me feel like I"m about to go outside. I just can't imagine putting my feet up on the ottoman in my room, to read a good book and having shoes on.0

I bought a pair of slip on Chucks that I only wear in the house. They are my "house" shoes.0

Flip flops. I have all tile and a dog so bare feet means dirty feet unless I've just swept and mopped.0

Zombies won't wait for me to put on shoes when they attack so I generally wear them even in the house.0

I kick my shoes off for comfort , not cleanliness. I live with 3 men a dog and a cat. Hardwood floors and tile. no carpet. flip flops and slippers are my normal indoor footwear.0

I either walk barefoot or with Crocs on in the house
Wait a minute! You have Crocs?

people wear shoes in the house?
I have never ever encountered that ..always take the shoes off at the door0 -
shoes are for out of doors.
socks, slippers, massaging flip-flops, and baby seal skins are for adorning the feet indoors.0 -
Is this shoes off a regional thing? I'm from the south (Texas), and I don't ANYONE who does this! Of course, us Texans literally die with our boots on.
I'm in the southeast and I am barefoot all the time in the house. Hubby wears bedroom shoes when he comes in. It started when we had children crawling on the floor. Just never changed.0 -
People that wear shoes in the house weird me out.0

I'm Chinese and I grew up also with no shoes in the house. I live in Canada and have found that most households do this as well. It's probably because our weather sucks and we don't want the crap tracking into the house lol0

We have stained concrete floors and wear soft shoes most of the time or socks. Regular shoes aren't prohibited however.0

Shoes, as I fear cross contamination.0

I can't go barefoot for extended periods due to a foot problem, so yeah...0

I don't know when I started taking my shoes off at the door when I get home; possibly when I bought new furniture and a rug. I have hardwood floors. But now it's a habit and I can't stand to have shoes on in my house.
As for Crocs…. :noway: :noway: :noway: Those things will NEVER touch my feet!! :laugh:0 -
I go barefoot most of the time, but I would NEVER ask a guest to take off their shoes, it seems very rude to me. It is interesting however how many people will just automatically take off their shoes when they see my shoes by the door, but it is their choice.0

Shoes and bra come off when I'm home. Might as well be comfortable in my own house, right?0
