Success with 1200 calories?????

Ok, so here's my story. I started out about 5'7, 150-152 pounds. I went on a strict diet of about 1200 calories with exercise and within two weeks I weighed 143 pounds. Then, I went on a trip with friends and ate like a pig and gained two pounds. ( Btw, my period hardly came and I am pretty sure if I had not ate so much on the trip I would have not had one at all.)Now, I am back into eating 1700-1900 calories again and gaining the weight back. My question to you is, should I be eating more with the exercise I am trying to accomplish? Or should I go back to eating 1200 calories a day? Should I lose the weight slowly or go back to my strenuous schedule?

I am 5 foot 7. Since 150- 152 is in the healthy weight range for your height , if you want to lose you should do so slowly at a rate of 0.5 pounds a week. 1200 is not enough calories.0

Find your body fat percentage. Use it to find your tdee and then eat below that (usually 20 percent). Whether or not you eat back your exercise calories is up to you. People do it both ways.0

I'm waaayyyy shorter than you and I eat up to 3000 calories a day. I just pick the right foods. I used to eat 1200 calories and pig out every weekend. Just remember to take it slowly and to love yourself every step of the way0
