Support me in getting rid of my T2 diabetes for good!

Hi everyone :)

I'm looking for friends on MFP to support me in the long term - I've recently been told by my doctor that if I keep up the good work on losing weight and getting healthy I can finally get rid of my medication! My last fasting blood test was lower than the (non diabetic) nurse's - she was shocked AND amazed haha :blushing: . For those who know about blood sugar levels, my average came out as 31 (5.0).

I really need the motivation to just not give up. I want to be able to say "I kicked T2 diabetes in the *kitten*" after 4 years of having it. Even though diabetes runs in my mum's side of the family I can't let that be an excuse.

My little diabetes 'sob story' is on my profile if you want to have a read :P I've always been overweight and I feel like my goal weight is so close yet so daaamn far :indifferent:

Of course I will try my best to support you guys in return! :flowerforyou:

Emma x

Congratulations on the results of all your hard work! What do you think is going to help you stay motivated in the future? You might think about a vision for your life 5 or 10 years from now: what do you want to be doing and how do you want to feel? When we visualize what we want to achieve, we are a lot more likely to reach those goals. ~Lynn /Glucerna
