Toning eating to maintenance

Lately I have been following my calorie goal most days of the week but goin over about 100 calories 2-3 days. I seem to be maintaining my weight which will range from 136-139.5. If I continue to basically eat to maintenance but do circuit training will I be able to tone up? Currently I am 5'2 138 lbs age 31. I feel I have a good shape just a little soft! Looking to tighten it. I'm hoping to follow deficit but I just had three baby showers Easter a few bday and Mother's Day coming up. So I usually go over 100 calories a few days a week. I'm on 30 day shred. Am I doing that for nothin if I eat over a few times and weight is standing still?

If you are exercising hard and eating to maintain your weight, you'll be improving your fitness. If you want to tone up, keep doing those resistance workouts. Working the muscles and keeping weight constant will result in a slow reduction of body fat. You'll get that toned body composition, it'll just take time and consistency.
