I find that some people use the like button, some comment, some are very active and some prefer to just lurk in the background. I have all of these on my friends list. But I never mind if they don't make any comment/like about things I do. Just knowing they are there struggling along with me is enough.

You could ask for active friends, there are a lot of people on here who are extremely supportive and active every day.
