Thought Process from Short Term Goal to New Lifestyle

I think my biggest problem with working out and being fit overall is thinking of it as a lifestyle and not just a short term goal (lose a few pounds, lose some inches, bikini season around the corner, etc).

How did those of you who may have had to work at it change your thoughts into, this is my new life? I really do think thats the key to success but i struggle with it!
