Are child sized running shoes as well made as adult sizes?

I am going to head over to my running store soon to get new shoes. I'm looking at trying out Brooks Adrenaline GTS 14s or some other cushiony and supportive shoe.
I have really small feet and fit better into children's sized shoes (and this also saves me money). Knowing that most kids don't run too far or train for marathons, do you think that the constructions of youth/children's sized shoes are not as up to par with the adult sizes?

My 10 year old is somewhere in between (larger sizes for kids or smaller from adults stores) and in most brands, yes there is a definite difference in quality.0
