So, since I just ordered my F11 I'm trying to find out more information about the unit. How sturdy is it? I'm specifically referring to the fact that I'd like to wear it while I play airsoft/paintball - but I need to know if the cheststrap and watch can handle taking a shot if someone happens to hit my wrist/chest. Its much more likely my chest will get hit, but there is still a possibility my wrist will get hit as well.

I'm not sure how sturdy, but I am a total klutz. The first thing I did when I opened the box was drop the thing on a ceramic tile floor. I've dropped both the chest strap and the watch many times since. (and I've only had the thing for a month) It seems pretty sturdy, but I don't know about getting shot. And, are you padded at all when you're paintballing? I'd actually be more worried about the sensor.. .

Usually I'm wearing, at most, a tshirt and jeans. Summer is coming up and its too hot for BDU's, so the wrist strap will most likely be unprotected. The chest strap will be under the shirt, but again thats not a lot of protection.

I would worry about a side shot that would knock off the transmitter - then I would lose the transmitter in some tall grass field. I might wear it once - maybe tape the transmitter on to hold it in place - then just count those calories for the rest of the time.
