Body Recomp While Maintaining

This is just a question of curiosity for those on here who know a lot about bodybuilding/lifting.

Can you recompose your body to drop fat and gain muscle while eating at maintenance? Reworded: If you were eating at maintenance and lifting heavy all the time, will your body *slowly* eat away at the fat to repair the damaged muscle? I don't see why you can't build some muscle mass while eating maintenance, albeit very slowly.

Can anyone elaborate?

Yes you can. Many on here have done it.

But it is very slow! Like very very slow!

You'd be better off doing a bulk/cut cycle.

I'm nowhere near doing bulk/cut cycles, but I am aware of them and I intend on doing them, when the time comes.

This thread was just something that came to mind and I was just looking for some clarification on it.

    Thank you!
