I've worn the gloves, belts, and straps in my earlier training days but never slingshots or lifting shirts. I've since removed all gear including my wrist wraps and have gotten stronger. Has anyone else experienced this?

    Post hoc ergo propter hoc

One would think that with the proper training and nutrition that you would get stronger regardless of using gear or not

I've never used gloves or straps so can't comment on those. Currently I use nothing apart from chalk in working sets and a belt comes out for 1 rep max attempts in squats and deads. I used to use one for all sets of deads but since I stopped I think I've given myself a stronger core. I can't say whether it's actually improved overall Deadlift strength or not though as I honestly haven't a clue. I was improving before and I'm improving now. My opinion is use what works well for you and your goals. I have seem some experiences from people where using straps for a couple if months improved their Deadlifts (without straps) max and got them out of a plateau. I won't rule it out in the future, although I have no intention of ever using gloves, or equipped gear (suits etc) as I like to compete raw.
